The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has officially released the schedule for the much-awaited Agriculture Department Recruitment Exam 2025, along with important instructions for candidates. The examination will be conducted for 241 posts of Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) and Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (AARO), with nearly 35,000 aspirants expected to appear.
RPSC Agriculture Exam Dates and Structure
The exams for Agriculture Department will take place from 12 October to 17 October 2025, and later on 28 and 29 October 2025. In addition, the Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) Exam 2024 under the Economic & Statistical Department is also scheduled for 12 October 2025.
A special change this year is that the General Knowledge (GK) paper for Agriculture candidates will be only 40 minutes long, instead of the usual 2 hours. The exam will be held on 12 October 2025, from 3:00 PM to 3:40 PM, with a total of 40 one-mark questions. For all other Agriculture subject papers, the duration will remain 2 hours.
Extra Time Provision for Candidates
To ensure smooth filling of OMR answer sheets, RPSC has introduced an additional time rule:
- GK Paper (12 October, 3:00 PM – 3:40 PM): Extra 5 minutes will be given for filling the “fifth option” on the OMR sheet.
- All other Agriculture papers and ASO Exam: Extra 10 minutes will be provided.
This decision comes after repeated concerns from candidates about insufficient time for properly marking OMR sheets.
RPSC Admit Cards and Exam Center Information
Candidates can check their allotted exam districts from 5 October 2025 onwards through the SSO Portal. The admit cards will be uploaded on 9 October 2025 and will be available for download from both the RPSC website (https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in) and the SSO Portal (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in).
Admit cards can be accessed in two ways:
- By entering Application Number and Date of Birth on the Admit Card link at RPSC website.
- Through the Recruitment portal in the Citizen Apps (G2C) section of the SSO Portal.
Candidates are advised to download their admit cards immediately once released, to avoid last-minute server issues.
Rajasthan Agriculture Exam Day Instructions
RPSC has issued strict guidelines to maintain discipline during the examinations:
- Entry to exam centers will be permitted only up to 60 minutes before the start of the exam. Late arrivals will not be entertained under any circumstances.
- Candidates must carry a latest original Aadhaar Card (color print) for verification. If the Aadhaar photo is old or unclear, an alternative photo ID (Driving License, Passport, Voter ID) must be carried.
- A clear, latest passport-size color photograph should be affixed on the admit card.
- Candidates are advised to arrive well in advance to complete security checks smoothly.
Strict Warning Against Unfair Means
The Commission has strongly cautioned candidates against falling prey to brokers or agents promising success. Any complaints of bribery, inducement, or malpractice should be reported immediately to the RPSC Control Room (0145-2635200, 2635212, 2635255).
As per the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022, engaging in malpractice can lead to life imprisonment, fines of up to ₹10 crore, and even confiscation of property.
