Stage I Computer-Based Test (CBT): The first stage of the selection process is a CBT consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions. |

Stage II Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted based on CBT scores will be called for the interview round. The interview will be conducted only in Kolkata. The interview carries a total of 15 Marks. |

Stage III Pre-Employment Medical Examination: All selected candidates have to undertake a medical fitness test as per WBSEDCL’s standards. Passing the medical examination is necessary for the final appointment. |

- The CBT will have a total duration of 1.5 hours, which is 90 minutes. The exam will involve negative marking, and 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- No marks will be deducted for questions that are not attempted. The paper will consist of 85 questions carrying 1 mark each, and 1 mark will be allotted for every correct answer.
