UPSC IRMS Exam Pattern 2022-23 Details

Ministry of Railways, in consultation with UPSC and DoPT, has announced that candidates will be selected for Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) based on their performance in the IRMS Examination. The key highlights of the IRMS Examination are given below:

Two-tier examination- a Preliminary Screening Examination, followed by a Main Written Examination and Interview will be conducted.
Aspirants should appear in Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination.
The Candidates who will be found suitable will be screened for IRMS (Main) Examination.
The IRMS (Main) Examination will consist of 4 conventional papers as per the exam pattern decided by the recruitment authority.
The syllabus for the qualifying papers and optional subjects will be the same as Civil Services Examination (CSE).
