UPPSC AE Exam Pattern 2023
The UPPSC AE Recruitment consists of two steps i.e. Prelims and Mains followed by a Personal Interview round. The candidates who’ll be selected in the written examination will be called for the personal interview round. The written exam consists of two papers, both will be conducted on the same day in different shifts.
Paper I will be having 125 questions including 25 questions from General Hindi and 100 questions from technical domain of the respective Engineering Branch similarly Paper II will also have 125 questions including 25 questions from General Knowledge and 100 questions from the technical domain. The detailed UPPSC AE Exam Pattern and marking scheme of both paper I & II are given below:
UPPSC AE Paper I Exam Pattern
- Total duration of the examination is 2.5 hours
- Total number of questions will be 125
- According to the marking scheme of the examination, +3 marks for every right answer and -1 for every wrong answer.
- Candidates need to score from a total of 375 Marks.
- The questions will be from the General Hindi and Technical Domains of particular engineering branch of the appearing candidate.
UPPSC AE Paper II Exam Pattern
- The duration of examination is 2.5 hours
- A total number of questions will be 125.
- Marking Scheme: +3 marks for every right answer and -1 for every wrong answer.
- Candidates need to score from a total of 375 Marks.
- The questions will be from the General Knowledge and Technical Domain of particular engineering branch of the appearing candidate.
UPPSC AE Personal Interview
The Commission will conduct the personal interview of the candidates who clear the Paper 1 and Paper 2. The purpose of interview is to evaluate the academic knowledge of candidates and their personality and general understanding. After the interview, the final merit list of all the selected candidates will be published on the official website of the commission.
