Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE) Exam Pattern

The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board Assistant Environmental Engineer (AEE) CBT is an objective-type test and carries 400 marks. The paper includes 100 questions to be completed in 120 minutes.

The major weightage is given to Environmental Engineering (B.Tech/BE level) with 70 questions (280 marks) while General Aptitude includes 30 questions (120 marks).

Assistant Scientific Officer (ASO) Exam Pattern

The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board Assistant Scientific Officer (ASO) CBT is an objective-type test and carries 400 marks with 100 questions to be solved in 120 minutes.

The main section is Environmental Sciences (UG level) with 70 questions (280 marks) and General Aptitude includes 30 questions (120 marks).

UPPCB ASO and AEE Exam  Marking Scheme 2026

• Each question will have 4 options out of which one correct answer must be selected.
• +4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
• -1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer (negative marking applicable).
• 0 marks will be given for unattempted questions.
• The question paper will be available in English and Hindi.
• In case of any discrepancy in question interpretation the English version will be considered final.
