RRB JE Eligibility Criteria 2026

Meeting the RRB JE eligibility criteria is the most important requirement for applying for RRB JE 2026. To become a Junior Engineer in the Indian Railways, candidates must fulfill the eligibility standards in all aspects, such as Educational Qualification, Age Limit, & Nationality. RRB JE Nationality/Citizenship

An applicant should be all things:

• a resident of India, or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a Tibetan exile who approached India, before the first of January 1962, with the aim of for all time getting comfortable in India, or
• An individual of Indian descent who has relocated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the aim of getting comfortable in India.

RRB JE Educational Qualifications

Anyone who wants to apply for the RRB JE 2026 Exam must have a three-year diploma in engineering. The diploma can be in fields like Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Tools & Machining, or Tools & Die Making. Candidates can also apply if they have a B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute in India.

Applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in their qualification. However, RRB gives relaxation in marks for candidates belonging to certain reserved categories. More detailed information will be shared in the official RRB JE Notification.

RRB JE Post-Wise Educational Qualifications

• Junior Engineer: A candidate should have three years of Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical/  Production/ Automobile/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering/ Control/ Tools and Machining/ Tools and die-making/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering, or B. Sc in Civil Engineering from a Recognized University/Institute
• DMS: Applicants need to finish a three-year Diploma in Engineering from any govt. perceived college or the same.
• Junior Engineer (IT): All candidates need to have PGDCA/B.Sc. (Software Engineering) /BCA/B.Tech. (Data Technology)/B.Tech. (Software Engineering)/DOEACC ‘B’ level course of three years’ length or the same.
• CMA – Bachelor’s certification in Science with Physics and Chemistry with at least 55% imprints

RRB JE Experience Requirement

No experience is necessary for the RRB Junior Engineer Exam 2026. Candidates who have completed their degree or diploma can apply for the RRB JE. Experience is not a mandatory requirement for this recruitment.

RRB JE Medical Standard 2026

Candidates must meet specific medical standards set by the Railway Recruitment Boards for the selection of Junior Engineers.
