IGM Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026
IGM exam will be conducted through an objective-type Computer-Based Test (CBT). The paper generally includes General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Language, Computer Knowledge, and Technical/Professional Knowledge, depending on the post. For technical and supervisory posts, the technical section has the highest weightage, while clerical posts also require a qualifying typing test. The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English (except the English section).

IGM Exam Pattern 2026
The India Government Mint (IGM) exam will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) for all posts. The total duration of the paper is 120 minutes for every post.
Each question carries 1 mark, and no negative marking has been included meaning candidates are not penalised for incorrect answers.
For Junior Office Assistant, Junior Bullion Assistant and Junior Hindi Typist, the CBT is also followed by a qualifying typing test, where the required typing speed is 40 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi.

The minimum qualifying marks are the same for all posts in the India Government Mint (IGM) Computer Based Test (CBT).
For the posts of Junior Office Assistant, Junior Bullion Assistant, and Junior Hindi Typist, candidates must also qualify the typing test to be considered for the final merit list.
The typing test is qualifying in nature only, and its marks are not added to the final score but candidates must pass it to become eligible for final selection.
IGM Exam Centres 2026
The Computer Based Test (CBT) for all posts will be conducted at the following exam centres:

Candidates can choose their preferred exam centre while filling the form. Once selected, the exam city preference cannot be changed later.
