Order of Preference: 1) Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) Ex-Trade Apprentices 2) Erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) Ex-Trade Apprentices 3) Other NTC/NAC holders 4) Class 10th candidates with relevant experience (without NAC/NTC/STC) Shortlisting Criteria: • HVF Ex-Trade Apprentices: Shortlisted based on Month and Year of passing NAC. If multiple candidates pass in the same month/year then NAC marks (out of 400) will be considered. • Erstwhile OFB Ex-Trade Apprentices: Shortlisting based on Month/Year of passing NAC followed by NAC marks (out of 400) • Other NTC/NAC holders: Shortlisted based on final examination marks. If both NTC and NAC are held and only NTC marks will be considered • Class 10th with experience: Shortlisted based on years of relevant experience. If experience is equal then Class 10th marks will be considered. Tie-Breaker: If two or more candidates have the same merit, the older candidate (by Date of Birth) will be given preference. If DOB is also the same then alphabetical order of name (English) will be followed. |
| 2. Trade Test (Practical) | Candidates shortlisted on merit will be called for the Trade Test (Practical).
• The Trade Test is qualifying in nature only .• Result will be FIT / UNFIT. • No marks will be added to the final merit list. • Candidates who fail the Trade Test will not be considered further, irrespective of their academic marks .• Trade Test will be conducted only at Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF), Avadi and Chennai. • Date and venue will be informed in advance through Email/SMS.
