HPSC Assistant Engineer Civil Exam Pattern 2026

The exam pattern for the Haryana Public Service Commission recruitment is given below for the understanding of the candidates to prepare effectively for the Screening and Domain Knowledge tests.

Screening Test: The test carries a total of 100 marks with 100 objective-type (multiple-choice) questions, and candidates are given a duration of 2 hours to complete the paper. For every incorrect answer, ¼ mark will be deducted as negative marking. To qualify for the examination, candidates must secure a minimum of 25% marks.

Subject Knowledge Test: The paper carries a total of 150 marks and is descriptive in nature, focusing on core Civil Engineering subjects to assess the domain knowledge of candidates. The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
