The Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) will close the online application process on 6 August 2026 Today at 6:00 PM for the recruitment of 236 Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) posts. Candidates who are eligible but have not yet applied should complete their registration before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. The recruitment drive is being conducted for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) across PGVCL, UGVCL, MGVCL, and DGVCL. Applications submitted after the closing time will not be accepted.

PGVCL Eligibility Criteria 2026

• Candidates must possess a B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.C.A., or B.B.A. degree through Regular, External, or Open/Distance Learning (ODL) mode from a UGC/AICTE-recognized university.
• Applicants must have secured a minimum average of 55% marks in the final year or the last two semesters of graduation.
• Candidates who have completed their programme through Open/Distance Learning (ODL) and/or Online mode must have obtained the degree from a university/institute accredited by NAAC with a minimum CGPA of 3.01 (on a 4-point scale) or NBA accreditation with at least 650 points (out of 1000).
• The prescribed 55% minimum marks is the exact eligibility requirement; no rounding off or upward adjustment of marks or percentage will be allowed.
• Candidates awarded grades instead of percentage marks must produce a certificate issued by their University/Institute indicating the equivalent percentage (including decimals) during document verification.

How to Apply for PGVCL Recruitment 2026

• Visit the official PGVCL website at www.pgvcl.com.
• Register online and generate your application number by completing the online registration process.
• Fill out the online application form with accurate and complete details.
• Select your order of preference for the DISCOM companies (PGVCL, DGVCL, MGVCL, and UGVCL). Once submitted, the preference cannot be changed.
• PwBD candidates requiring a scribe must select the relevant option while filling out the application form.
• Pay the application fee of Rs. 250 through online mode using a Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
• Review all the details carefully before submitting the application form.
• Submit the application and take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.

PGVCL JA Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the PGVCL Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) Recruitment consists of

• First-tier written examination
• Second-tier written examination
• Document verification

Stage 1: Tier-I Written Examination

• Qualifying Marks: 45 or above to appear for Tier-II
• Medium: Gujarati and English (Gujarati and English language questions will be in their respective languages.)

Stage 2: Tier-II Written Examination

• Mode of Exam: Online/Offline (depending on the number of selected applicants)
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Final merit will be prepared based on Tier-II marks.
• Minimum qualifying marks for PwBD candidates: 45

Important Note:

There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in both Tier-I and Tier-II.

Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the Tier-II merit list will be called for document verification. The verification process will be conducted according to the available PwBD vacancies in the respective DISCOM, and the intimation will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address.

Medical Examination

After successful document verification, candidates must undergo a pre-employment medical examination. Appointment will be offered only to candidates who are found medically fit as per the company’s prescribed standards.
