GPSSB Laboratory Technician Eligibility 2026
Educational Qualification
A candidate shall possess:
(i) A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or Microbiology or Bio-chemistry or Bio-technology obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under a central or a State Act in India, OR any other
educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the
University Grants Commission Act,1956 AND
(ii) Have passed the Diploma in Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician Course of Medical
Technology or Medical Laboratory Technology or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
or one year Medical Laboratory Technician Training Course or Laboratory Technician Training Course obtained from any of the Government-recognised institutions or Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; OR
Any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956;
Rule-3(c): The basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification
and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 AND Rule-3 (d): Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

GPSSB Laboratory Technician Online Application Process 2026
Candidates must apply online through the official OJAS portal https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in for GPSSB Laboratory Technician Recruitment 2026. Fill the application form with correct details, upload the required information and submit it on or before 8th May 2026. General category candidates must pay the fee online via SBI e-Pay, while reserved categories are exempted.

Application Fees
If a General category candidate is unable to pay the fee online within the given time, they may pay a Process Fee of Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in cash at the office of the GPSSSB from 11th May 2026 to 13th May 2026 (during office working hours). After payment, such candidates will be allowed to download the call letter/admit card.

GPSSB Laboratory Technician Selection Process 2026
The selection process for the Laboratory Technician (Class-III) post under the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board consists of two main stages:
Written Examination: The first stage of the selection process is a written examination conducted in either Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) mode. The examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in this examination, and a merit list will be prepared according to the marks obtained.
Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the written examination and are included in the merit list will be called for document verification. At this stage, candidates must produce all original documents such as educational certificates, diploma certificates, age proof and category-related certificates. Final selection will be confirmed only after successful verification of all required documents.
