GPSSB Laboratory Technician Eligibility 2026
The GPSSB Laboratory Technician eligibility criteria include educational qualification & age limit requirements. Candidates must fulfill all conditions before applying.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology from a recognized university.
- Diploma in Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician Course of Medical Technology OR
- PG Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology OR
- 1 Year Training Course in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Basic computer knowledge is required as per government rules.
- Candidates should know the Gujarati or Hindi language.

If a General category candidate is unable to pay the fee online within the given time, they may pay a Process Fee of Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in cash at the office of the GPSSSB from 11th May 2026 to 13th May 2026 (during office working hours). After payment, such candidates will be allowed to download the call letter/admit card.

GPSSB Laboratory Technician Selection Process 2026
The selection process for the Laboratory Technician (Class-III) post under the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board consists of two main stages:
Written Examination: The first stage of the selection process is a written examination conducted in either Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) mode. The examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in this examination, and a merit list will be prepared according to the marks obtained.
Document Verification: Candidates who qualify in the written examination and are included in the merit list will be called for document verification. At this stage, candidates must produce all original documents such as educational certificates, diploma certificates, age proof and category-related certificates. Final selection will be confirmed only after successful verification of all required documents.
