GPCB Senior Scientific Assistant Eligibility

It is important for the candidates to meet the required eligibility criteria mentioned below to apply for the Senior Scientific Assistant.

1. Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have a Postgraduate Degree in Science from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines:
Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Aquatic Biology, Marine Biology, Bioscience, Biotechnology, Agronomy, or Physics with Instrumentation.

2. Additional Requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.
• Proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi (or both).

3. Age Limit:

• Minimum: 18 years
• Maximum: 37 years
  Note: Age relaxation is applicable for candidates currently serving in the Gujarat Government as per rules.

4. Nationality:

Applicant must be an Indian citizen or fulfill nationality criteria under Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.

GPCB Selection Process 2025

The selection for the post of Senior Scientific Assistant under GPCB will be carried out through a single-stage competitive examination. Total question will be 210 and total duration is of three hours.
