TNPSC Group 1 Exam Date 2024 Out
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the TNPSC Group 1 ExamDate 2024 for Prelims Exam. As per the official notification, the Prelims exam is scheduled for 13th July 2024 (09.30 A.M. to 12.30 P.M.) and Hall Ticket will be released a few days before the exam on the official website at www.tnpsc.gov.in. As for the Mains Exam, the exam date will be announced later on.

TNPSC Group 1 Apply Online 2024
The TNPSC Group 1 Online Application process has started from 28th March 2024 on the official website at www.tnpsc.gov.in. Interested candidates can register and submit their online applications through the direct link shared here. Candidates are required to fill out all the details correctly and upload documents in appropriate size and dimensions.
TNPSC Group 1 Application Fee
Candidates have the option to pay the application fee online using Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card before the deadline for submitting the online application. Additionally, candidates are responsible for paying any applicable service charges.
Note: Payments made through offline modes such as Demand Draft or Postal Order will not be accepted. Applications submitted with such forms of payment will be rejected without further consideration, and the fees will not be returned or refunded.

The minimum age limit for the TNPSC Group 1 is 21 years whereas the maximum age limit is 34 years. However, the age relaxation of 5 years have been provided to reserved category candidates as mentioned in the table below.

TNPSC Group 1 Educational Qualification
For the Group 1 services, applicants are required to hold a degree in any stream from a university recognized by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or from an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament. Additionally, degrees deemed as equivalent to university degrees under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, are also acceptable. TNPSC Group 1 2024 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for both Prelims and Mains exam is discussed below. The exam shall be conducted in both English and Tamil Language.

- The Prelims Exam is qualifying in nature (Its marks will not be added to the final merit list)
- The questions shall be objective type and there is no negative marking.
- Qualifying Marks: SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs: 90 Marks and Others: 120 Marks

TNPSC Group 1 Mains Exam Pattern
The Mains exam is descriptive type and it consists of 4 papers. Those who pass the Prelims exam, will appear for the Mains Exam. The Main Examination answer sheets of Paper II, Paper III, and Paper IV will be evaluated, only if the candidate secures minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
