Cancel CBSE Term 2 Exams 2022 Plea filed by Students
Students from over 15 states of India have filed a writ petition in the Supreme court seeking an alternative assessment method for upcoming board exams for classes 10th and 12th. Mr. Anubha Shrivastava Sahai, an advocate and child rights activist, filed the petition along with the Student Union of Odisha-NYCS as the second petitioner.
The petition calls for an alternate methods of assessing students of Classes 10, 11 and 12 in various Boards like CBSE, CISCE, NIOS and state boards instead of holding offline board exams. It also asks for holding an improvement exam for those students who are dissatisfied with the internal assessment exams conducted by colleges.
The plea asks Supreme Court to form a high level committee to decide on an alternate formula for assessment, including those with compartmental or retest, and declare the result within a time limit and deadline decided by the Supreme Court of India.
