UP Board Latest Exam News 2021: UP Board Declared for Class 10 and 12 Result Evaluation Criteria

UP Board Exam 2021: Highlights
- For Class 10 students, 50 percentage marks will be based on Class 9 final exam results and the remaining will be on the pre-board of class 10.
- For Class 12, 50 percentage marks will be from Class 10 Finals, 40 percentages from Class 11, and the remaining 10 percent will be from Class 12 pre-Boards.
- No merit list to be declared.
- Students not satisfied with the marks can appear in the next Board Exams to be held without paying any extra fees.
UP Board Exams Elaborated Information on Class 10, 12 Evaluation Criteria
On 20 June, Uttar Pradesh Government declared the basis on which marks will be given to the students appearing for Boards in the year 2021. Earlier the government had canceled the state Board exams due to the rising number of covid cases.
For Class 10 students, 50 percent of the total marks will be taken from the Class 9 Final Exam Result of the respective students. And the remaining 50 percent of marks will be on the pre-board results which are already declared by the schools.
For Class 12 students, the government has decided to take 50 percentages of marks from the final exam of Class 10 result, another 40 percentage of marks from class 11 finals, and the other 10 percent from class 12 pre-boards which total up to 100 percentages.
The decision was declared to the public by Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma. He stated that the marks for students studying in the Uttar Pradesh board will be divided on the above-stated rule. The total number of students who have registered for the Board exams from UP Board this year is 56, 04,628.
The total number of students for Class 10 registered in the UP Board is 29, 94,312. Regular students registered for class 10 board exams is 29, 74,487. Repeaters registered are 19,825.
Also, registered students for Class 12 are 26, 10,316, out of which 25, 17,685 are regular institutional students and 92,658 are repeaters.
This decision has been taken so that students don’t have to appear for the board exams physically this year, which might lead to an increased number of covid cases in the state. The decision was decided upon by the 11 member committee formed by the state government.
Students who which to appear for improvement exams can appear in the next Board Exams held for the state without paying any more fees.
Results declaration date has not yet been confirmed by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board. It is expected to release in July. No merit list will be declared for this year.
This year a lot of states have canceled their respective board exams along with the Central Board of Secondary Education. The CBSE declared that they will award the students marks upon the 30:30:40 formulas to Class 10 and 12 Students.
