The National Testing Agency (NTA) administered the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for the academic year 2025 from May 13 to June 04, and now the results are announced on its official website. Along with the results, the authorities have announced the CUET UG topper list 2025 and crucial exam statistics.
According to the official press release, this year only one candidate secured 100 percentile in four of the five disciplines. In addition, 17 candidates got 100 percentile in three disciplines, while 150 candidates scored 100 percentile in two. Additionally, 2679 candidates achieved a perfect score in one of their chosen disciplines.

This year, CUET UG 2025 was held from May 13 to July 4, 2025 in 300 locations across India and 15 centres abroad, highlighting the organization’s growing global presence. The international cities were: Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Munich, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait City, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, West Java, and Washington.
A total of 13,54,699 candidates registered for the CUET UG 2025, including 6,47,934 females, 7,06,760 males, and 5 third-gender candidates. Out of these, 10,71,735 students took the exam, including 5,23,988 females, 5,47,744 males, and 3 third-gender applicants. This turnout represents a roughly 79% participation percentage, demonstrating that the centralised admission method for undergraduate degrees remains popular.
Most popular subjects in CUET UG 2025
The CUET UG 2025 exam saw English emerge as the most popular subject, with over 10.75 lakh students registering and 8.14 lakh taking the examination. The highest NTA score in English was 241.96. The General Test came in second, with 8.35 lakh candidates, 6.59 lakh of whom appeared. The highest score in this paper was 203.36.
Chemistry ranked third, with 7.59 lakh registrations and 5.70 lakh students taking the exam. It also had a max score of 247.64, one of the highest among subjects. Physics was the fourth most popular subject, with 5.40 lakh applicants taking the exam, while Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry came in fifth position, with 3.39 lakh examinees. These five subjects demonstrate the ongoing popularity of scientific and reasoning-based disciplines among CUET candidates.
