The SET 2026 eligibility criteria are the conditions that individuals must meet in order to be admitted to Symbiosis International University (SIU) programmes. If you are preparing for SET 2026, first, you have to know about the SET Eligibility Criteria. In this article, we are going to discuss all the details about the SET 2026 eligibility, covering the academic norms, age limit, reservation regulations, nationality, and special guidelines.

Why SET Eligibility Criteria 2026 is Crucial

SET 2026 is expected to take place in the first and second weeks of May 2026. To take the Symbiosis SET test 2026, you must meet the SET BBA qualifying criteria. Candidates who do not match the SET qualifying criteria will have their candidatures terminated.

Before filling out the SET Exam, it is mandatory to understand the importance of checking the eligibility criteria. Many students start preparation for exams without checking the details. In the end, during the admission/ verification procedure, they will face difficulties in achieving good scores. To avoid these problems, Symbiosis clearly defines who can apply and who cannot. The eligibility criteria are not very different; they just have slight changes depending on the courses you are applying for.

SET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The SET test is given for undergraduate courses. The minimum qualification to appear for this exam is that the candidate has to pass or provide the Class 12 (10+2) exam certificate from a recognised institution by some central or state authority, that is, the CBSE, ISC, IB, Cambridge, or some similar institution.

The students who will be writing the final 12th standard examinations in the year 2026 can also apply, but they will have to provide a certificate of passing the examination with the required marks at the time of admission. These selection criteria apply equally to both students.

Qualification Requirements For SET 2026

Before the submission of the SET registration form, one has to ensure that he/she agree to follow the SET Eligibility 2026 Criteria. To be eligible for the SET Exam 2026, it is required that you must follow the basic rules:

  1. You should have completed 10+2 (class 12) or a similar test from a recognised board with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). The students who are going to give the Class 12 test of the year 2026 also have the right to apply for the assessment. But they must produce the pass certificate at the time of admission.
  2. The students who expect the result of their Class 12 can apply for the SET test by providing a provisional certificate. Also, the persons who have completed their Class 12 schooling by a foreign board and hold an equivalence certificate by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible to apply.
  3. There is no age barrier for the applicants of the Symbiosis Entrance Test; students who are at least 17 years of age are eligible to appear for the test.

Provisions for Candidates Appearing SET in Class 12

A large number of students in their last year of 12th standard have some doubts about the eligibility criteria to apply for the SET exam. But those students can also apply. They can take the test on the basis of their provisional result. And the final admission will be given on the basis of their final mark sheet being submitted, which clearly reflects that they have the minimum percentage required. If they do not fulfill that condition, their admission will be terminated even if they have cleared the SET exam.
