What is SET?

The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) held by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is the qualification test for admission to Symbiosis institutes. The SET exam is the gateway for admissions in undergraduate courses like Business Administration, Media Management, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Mass Communication, Economics, Applied Statistics and Data Science, Dual Degree, Sport and Exercise Science. In previous years, the exam was conducted for the B.Sc. Culinary Arts, but this exam was scrapped in the year 2021 for this course. The SET exam is a university-level entrance exam being conducted for students after Class 12. The application form of SET, admit card, and results will only be available online, and there will be no offline application process.

SET 2026 Registration Form

The SET 2026 application is conducted entirely online. Candidates for the SET will be able to fill out the SET exam application form 2026 online on the official SET website https://www.set-test.org/. Candidates who would like to apply for SET 2026 will be able to fill out the online application once they meet the eligibility requirements for SET. The application process for the SET exam consists of the following steps.

Steps to Fill Out the SET 2026 Application Form

Candidates are required to complete the following 3 steps to take the SET:

STEP 1: Complete the SET application form.

Candidates will have to fill out the SET application form to apply for the SET exam, and the application form will be available online on the SET official website. Students will first have to register on the SET website as new users and upon successful registration, they will gain access to the application form. The application fee of INR 2250 will have to be paid online using net banking or credit/debit card only.

STEP 2: Download the SET hall ticket.

SET hall tickets will only be issued to registered candidates. SET hall tickets will be available on the official website, and candidates will download their respective hall tickets from the official website.

STEP 3: Appear in the SET exam 2026

SET exam for 2026 will be held on the scheduled date(s) in computer-based test (CBT) format in different test centres across the country. Candidates are required to appear in the exam holding their hall admit card and one identity proof (Driving license, Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport).

STEP 4: Verify the SET result 2026

The SET result 2026 is released and published through the official website. Selected candidates are eligible for the WAT/PI round. After the SET 2026 results, each institute published their cut-off. The candidates were recommended to check individual websites for the cut-off.

STEP 5: Attend for SET WAT/PI

The candidate must remember to inform at the time of WAT/PI that all original and photocopy documents are carried. Admission is provided based on a candidate’s performance on the overall SET and WAT/PI. Last year, the WAT was held on the same day as the SET exam. There were 30 minutes given for the WAT portion of the exam.

Symbiosis Entrance Test 2026 Eligibility Criteria

  1. Minimum 50% marks(45% for SC/ST category students) are required in class 12th or in the examination from a recognized board or university.
  2. The students waiting for their Class 12th result can also apply, but they have to submit their certificate of passing.
  3. The students who have cleared their 12th exams from any foreign board can also apply, but they have to share their certificates obtained from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Preparation for SET Exam 2026

The SET preparation is to understand the fundamentals and to practice. The test is not very difficult; it will become easy when you follow the right strategies and prepare with quality books to score good marks in the exam. The students have to start preparing six months before the exam date to cover the syllabus properly.

The SET question paper contains four sections: Logical and Analytical Reasoning, General English, General Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude. QA is the difficult of all four sections. The candidates can prepare from books such as the NCERT textbook for Maths of Class 9 and Class 10, and also practice the last year’s question papers.
