While hearing the petition filed challenging a notification on holding the NEET-PG 2025 examination in two shifts, the panel led by Justice Vikram Nath, including Justices Sanjay Kumar and N V Anjaria, instructed the relevant authorities to organize the exam in a single shift and to guarantee that full transparency is upheld. This decision led to the postponement of NEET PG 2025 exam.

Multiple resident doctor associations and healthcare professionals requested that the exam take place in one shift to guarantee consistency and equity. After the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) failed to respond to their appeal, the associations turned to the Supreme Court, which eventually decided in their favor.

In the official NEET PG 2025 postponed notice, the authority has not provided the exact NEET PG 2025 exam date. However, NBEMS mentions that the NEET PG exam date 2025 will be finalized soon. Due to the delay, new dates for NEET PG city slip, NEET PG admit card, and examination will be revealed shortly. About NEET PG 2025 Exam

The NEET PG 2025 examination acts as the eligibility exam for individuals seeking MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses at medical colleges nationwide. The NEET PG 2025 test will be held in computer-based test (CBT) format in a single session, with a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes.

There will be 200 Multiple-Choice Questions, each consisting of 4 response options/distractors in English exclusively. Candidates must choose the correct/best/most suitable answer from the four available response options for each question.

After the examination, candidates who pass will proceed to the counselling stage for admission into MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs. The counselling process for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be supervised by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while the remaining will be handled by the respective state counselling authorities.
