DU Merit List 2023
The DU Merit List 2023 is compiled based on the candidates’ performance in the CUET UG entrance exam. The University of Delhi has over 70,000 seats available for admission to various undergraduate programs at its associated colleges. This year, 3,04,699 students registered on the CSAS UG portal, with 2,45,235 successfully submitting their application forms. The university releases the DU merit list 2023 for each programme in each college, with 20% more seats reserved for applicants from the unreserved categories of OBC-NCL and EWS, and 30% reserved for those from the reserved categories of SC, ST, and PWBD.

DU 2nd Merit List 2023
The Delhi University has released the DU 2nd merit list 2023 at 5 p.m., August 10, 2023. The admissions to Delhi University colleges will be approved and verified in accordance with the DU 2nd merit list 2023. DU 1st Merit List 2023
The DU 1st Merit List 2023 was issued on August 1, 2023 at admission.uod.ac.in and du.ac.in. As many as 7,042 applicants received their first preference, while over 22,000 candidates were assigned a seat based on their top five selections. According to the varsity’s data on DU merit list 2023, in the first round, 2,02,416 qualified candidates were considered for allocation based on their program and college preferences. Based on their first choices, a total of 2,02,416 individuals are examined for the first seat allocations. A seat has been assigned to about 22,000 participants based on their top five selections. In the DU First merit list 2023, a total of 85,853 allocations were made. Candidates who accept the given seat between August 1 and August 4 will be admitted.
DU UG Admission Merit List Tie-Breaking Policy
The following steps will be taken in the following order to break a tie if there are many candidates with the same CUET UG 2023 merit score for a particular program and college combination:
1. The applicant with the highest percentage of overall grades in the top three XII class subjects will be given preference.
2. The applicant with the highest percentage of overall grades in the top four XII class subjects will be given preference.
3. Candidates who have a higher percentage of overall marks in the top 5 XII subjects will be given preference.
4. The candidate’s age; those with a younger birthdate (as listed on Class X) will be given preference.
How to Accept Seat under DU Merit List 2023?
Step 1: To accept the given seat, candidates must check in to their Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. The seat must be accepted by August 4 at 5 p.m.
Step 2: If a candidate obtains more than one seat offer in a given round, they must accept and take admission in just that one seat. The provisionally assigned seat will be forfeited if no action is taken, which will be interpreted as non-acceptance.
Step 3: The concerned college will check applicants’ eligibility and any online-uploaded documentation if they accept the seat that has been provisionally allotted to them.
Step 4: The verification procedure must be finished by August 5th, The deadline for payment is August 6 (5 p.m.). Candidates should be aware that failure to pay the entrance fee within the specified time frame will result in the cancellation of the temporarily assigned seat.
Step 5: After paying the cost, students can pick between “upgrade” and “freeze” alternatives. If a candidate is content with their assigned seat, they can “freeze” their enrollment and will not be considered for future allocations.
Step 6: Qualified candidates can select the “upgrade” option, which allows them to upgrade to a higher preference that was previously provided. This option also allows the candidate to rearrange program and college pairings.
DU Merit List 2023- Top DU colleges
According to the findings, 1,61,533 individuals selected Kirori Mal College on their application forms. Hindu College came in second with 1,58,548 applications, followed by Hansraj College (1,57,162) and Ramjas College (1,56,068). It was ranked 11th in the NIRF university rankings. A total of ten Delhi University colleges have been named to the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2023 list of best colleges.
