CBSE Supplementary Exam Form 2025 OUT, Submit Applications on or before June 17

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to start accepting the CBSE Supplementary Exam Form 2025 for Class 10 and 12 from May 30, 2025. In the CBSE Board (Feb-Mar 2025) exams, students who are assigned to appear in the compartment exam to improve their scores must fill out the form starting from today, May 30, 2025, and continue till June 17, 2025. 

It should also be noted that the application process for the CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025 is completely done via respective schools only. Although only private candidates can apply for the CBSE supplementary exams 2025 online by navigating the portal at cbse.gov.in. For more details, students must contact their school principals or the concerned persons for further processing.

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025 Class 10 & 12

Every year, the board administers the supplementary/compartment exam for students who have achieved the minimum passing grade in the board exams. By securing good marks in this exam, they can save one academic year and be eligible for admission into the next course.

The CBSE supplementary Exam date sheet 2025 will be given by the Board in the second week of June, 2025. CBSE will hold the CBSE 12th Supplementary Exams 2025 on July 15, 2025, for one day only. The CBSE 10th Supplementary Exams 2025 will commence on July 15, 2025.

What is a Compartment Exam?

The CBSE compartment Exam (also known as Supplementary exam ) provides a second chance for students who do not get the minimum passing score (33%) in one or two subjects in the Main Annual board examinations held in February-April 2025. Compartment/supply exams focus primarily on the subject(s) that the student failed, allowing them to pass without having to retake the full academic year.

Like the main exams, the passing criteria for board CBSE class 10 and 12th compartment exams are the same.

Am I required to appear for the practical and theory exams again?

It depends on your passing status. According to CBSE criteria, if a student passes the practical exam of a subject, their scores are carried forward, and they just need to sit for the theory exam.

CBSE Supplementary Exam Form 2025 Last Date

The CBSE Compartment exam 2025 application form last date without a late fee is June 17, 2025. Students can apply for the CBSE 10th and 12th supplementary exams 2025 by June 19, 2025, paying a late charge of Rs 2000 in addition to the stipulated price.

If the payment is not submitted by June 17, 2025, and paid after that date, a late fee will apply. It should be remembered that NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE LAST DATE, which is June 17, 2025, with or without a late charge.

How to apply for CBSE supplementary exams?

Private applicants who took the board exams 2025 and fall into the ‘compartment’ category are allowed to apply. Students who passed but want to enhance their performance can register for supplementary tests. Regular students with a ‘compartment’ status should apply through their schools. Private candidates can apply for CBSE supplementary exams using the following steps

  1. Visit the CBSE’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the ‘Private Candidate Supplementary Examination 2025’ area.
  3. Fill out the relevant information and select the subjects for which you want to appear.
  4. Upload all relevant documentation and images.
  5. Pay the application fee using the available payment methods.

CBSE Supplementary Exam Form 2025 Fee

The CBSE Supplementary exam fees can only be paid using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Schools must submit the List of Candidates (LOC) electronically using the Pariksha Sangam portal (cbse.gov.in) without a late fee of INR 300 per subject in India. Students with visual impairments are not required to pay the fee.
