The CBSE Board has announced the tentative CBSE date sheet 2026 for both the Class 10 and 12 board exams. The CBSE 10th Exam Date and 12th Exam Date are the same – February 17, 2026 (expected). A circular has been issued on September 24, 2025, where it is said that the main (theory), sports, second board, and supplementary examinations would be held from February 17th to July 15th, 2026. More than 45 lakh students from India and overseas will take the CBSE 2026 exams in over 30000 schools.
CBSE Date Sheet 2026
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially published the tentative CBSE Exam Date sheet 2026 pdf for students in Class 10 and 12. The board has also stated that evaluation work will begin 10 days following each exam, and Board exam results will be processed in a timely way in May / June. While these are potential confirmed dates, the final date sheet will be provided once schools submit their final applicant list.

Latest Changes in CBSE Board Exam 2026
1. There are two exam windows each year.
Instead of a single high-stakes exam, the CBSE will henceforth offer two Board exam windows for Class 10.
The CBSE class 10th main exam is in mid-February.
Second board exam in May, which will act as both an improvement opportunity and a compartment exam for failed topics.
2. Complete syllabus for both exams
Both the February and May exams will cover the whole academic year’s course, with no changes to the exam format or marking scheme.

The Class 12 exams will also begin on February 17, 2026, with Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Shorthand papers, and continue until April 9, 202,6, with Sanskrit and other subjects.
