CBSE 2025 Revaluation Fee: Students to Pay Rs 700 Per Subject, Is this Amount Justified?

After the announcement of the CBSE Class 10, 12 results 2025 on May 13, the Board has notified students about the post-result processes like revaluation and rechecking. CBSE 2025 Revaluation Fee

CBSE has just issued a notice regarding the post-result declaration service for students in classes 10 and 12 for the 2024-2025 session. Students who are dissatisfied with their marks can request a copy of their answer sheet or choose the revaluation or rechecking option.

Students must pay a processing fee to choose any of the options. Students in class 12 must pay 700 rupees to receive a scanned copy for each subject, while class 10 students need to pay 500 rupees. For verification of each answer book, students must pay 500 rupees plus 100 rupees for every question.

CBSE 2025 Revaluation Fee for Scanned Copies of Answer Sheets: Fair or Costly?

As soon as the result for the CBSE board exams 2025 was published on May 13, 2025 at cbse.gov.in, the board authority released the detailed guidelines on recounting, rechecking, accessing scanned copies of answer sheets and revaluation process.

Currently, some students interested in applying for an answer sheet or revaluation are slightly uncertain about whether to use this option or not. Since CBSE has explicitly stated that fees, after being submitted, are nonrefundable, candidates will not receive them back if there are changes in the result or an increase in marks.

The charge for obtaining a scanned answer key for 12th grade is ₹700 per subject, whereas Class 10 students pay ₹500 per subject. Students enrolled in board who want to apply for multiple subjects are experiencing some financial pressure.

For instance, if a 12th-grade student intends to apply for 3 subjects, they will need to pay ₹2,100, while a 10th-grade student wishing to apply for 3 subjects will have to pay ₹1,500.

However, the board has clearly informed students that if they choose any option, no guarantee will be reduced or enhanced, which is why students feel uncertain about whether the risk is worthwhile.

CBSE Board Exam 2025 Revaluation Dates

The full timetable and information about the CBSE post-result declaration service were published on 19th May 2025. According to the announcement,

• Class 12th (Senior Secondary) students can request scanned copies from May 21 to May 27, 2025, and can apply for verification and revaluation from May 28 to June 3, 2025.
• Students in the 10th class (Secondary) can request scanned copies from May 27 to June 2, 2025, and can seek verification and revaluation from June 3 to June 7, 2025.

How to Apply for CBSE 2025 Revaluation Process

To request re-evaluation and re-checking of the CBSE result 2025 class 10, 12, applicants may adhere to the steps outlined below.

Step 1: Go to the official site of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.

Step 2: Select the re-valuation and re-verification link found on the homepage.

Step 3: A new page will appear where applicants will need to register.

Step 4: When the registration is completed successfully, Log in to the account.

Step 5: Complete the application form and submit the application fee payment.

Step 6: Press submit and download the page.

Step 7: Retain a printed version of it for future reference.

All candidates seeking to take advantage of any of the options are advised to choose one only when they are sure about their marks. Also be aware that after the revaluation is completed, those scores will be considered the final marks and no further chances will be given to challenge or alter those marks.
