    Find the area of a triangle, whose sides are 0.24 m, 28 cm and 32 cm.
    Question

    Find the area of a triangle, whose sides are 0.24 m, 28 cm and 32 cm.

    A.

    84√15 cm²

    B.

    82√15 cm²

    C.

    86√15 cm²

    D.

    88√15 cm²

    Correct option is A

    Given:

    Side 1 = 0.24 m = 24 cm

    Side 2 = 28 cm

    Side 3 = 32 cm

    Formula Used:

    Heron's formula;

    s=a+b+c2s = \frac{a + b + c}{2}

    Area of triangle = s(sa)(sb)(sc)\sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

    Solution:

    a = 24cm, b = 28cm, c = 32cm

    s =24+28+322 \frac{24 + 28 + 32}{2}  = 42 cm

    Area of triangle = 42(4224)(4228)(4232)\sqrt{42(42 - 24)(42 - 28)(42 - 32)}

    =42×18×14×10= \sqrt{42 \times 18 \times 14 \times 10}

    =8415 cm2= 84\sqrt{15} \, \text{cm}^2
