A.

64 cm²

B.

144 cm²

C.

136 cm²

D.

128 cm²

Correct option is D

Given:

The radius of the circle is 8 cm.

Concept Used:

If a square is inscribed in a circle, the diagonal of the square is equal to the diameter of the circle.

The area of the square can be found using the formula: Area = (diagonal)2/2(diagonal)^2 / 2

Solution:

Diameter = 2 × Radius = 2 × 8 = 16 cm

Since the diagonal of the square is equal to the diameter of the circle, the diagonal of the square is 16 cm.

the area of the square.

Area=(diagonal2)/2=(162)/2=256/2=128cm2Area = (diagonal^2) / 2 = (16^2) / 2 = 256 / 2 = 128 cm²
