The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has officially released a notice on 14 August 2025, confirming that the WBCS (Executive) Examination will now be conducted as per the old syllabus and exam pattern. The earlier updates and modifications related to the scheme and syllabus, uploaded on 20 August 2024 and earlier notifications dated 15 March 2023 and 24 July 2024, have been cancelled.

This decision follows the issuance of Notification No. 695-PAR (WBCS)/1D-179(Part-II) dated 17.06.2025 by the P&AR Department. Therefore, candidates must now prepare as per the earlier syllabus and exam scheme.
