The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has officially revised the exam dates for the ongoing recruitment drives for Sub-Inspector (SI) in Kolkata Police 2023 and Constables/Lady Constables in Kolkata Police 2024. The latest notice, released on 18 September 2025, mentions the postponement and rescheduling of the written examinations.
WBP Constable and SI Exam Date 2025 Out (Revised)
According to the official notification, the Final Combined Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspector/Sub-Inspectress (Unarmed Branch), Sub-Inspector (Armed Branch), and Sergeant in Kolkata Police – 2023, which was earlier scheduled for 15 October 2025, has been postponed. A fresh date will be announced soon on the official website.
Similarly, the Preliminary Written Test for recruitment to the posts of Constables/Lady Constables in Kolkata Police – 2024, which was earlier set for 1 February 2026, will now be conducted on 21 December 2025.

WB Police Constable Exam Pattern 2025
The West Bengal Police written examination consists of a total of 85 marks and includes only objective-type questions. Below is the detailed exam pattern:
- The exam comprises 85 multiple-choice questions.
- The question paper will be available in the Bengali and Nepali languages.
- Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response.
- The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes (1 hour).
