West Bengal Police Exam Date 2025 Revised, Check New Exam Scheduled

The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has announced revised exam dates for the ongoing recruitment of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Kolkata Police 2023 and Constables/Lady Constables in Kolkata Police 2024.

As per the updated notification issued on 18 September 2025, the written examinations have been postponed and rescheduled, and candidates are advised to review the new timelines carefully.

As per the latest update, WBPRB has opened a caste/category correction window for  WBP Constable 2025. Candidates can edit or change their caste/category using their application number and date of birth. We have shared the direct link in this article.

WBP Constable and SI Exam Date 2025 Out (Revised)

As per the official notice, the Final Combined Competitive Exam for SI/Sub-Inspectress (UB), SI (AB), and Sergeant in Kolkata Police 2023, earlier scheduled for 15 October 2025, has been postponed. The revised date will be announced soon.

Additionally, the Preliminary Written Test for Constables/Lady Constables in Kolkata Police 2024 has been rescheduled from 1 February 2026 to 21 December 2025.

The WBPRB  has released an official notice regarding WBP Constable Caste and Category changes. Candidates can  change or edit their Caste/Category by providing Application number and Date of Birth. We provided the direct to change the caste/category given below.

Candidates should prepare according to the revised schedule and regularly check prb.wb.gov.in for updates on the admit card and exam centre details. This exam marks the first stage of the WBP selection process, followed by the Physical Test, Final Written Examination, and Interview.

Aspirants are advised to begin focused revision, particularly in General Studies, Logical Reasoning, and Arithmetic, to improve their performance.

WB Police Constable Exam Pattern 2025

The West Bengal Police written examination consists of a total of 85 marks and includes only objective-type questions. Below is the detailed exam pattern:

• The exam comprises 85 multiple-choice questions.
• The question paper will be available in the Bengali and Nepali languages.
• Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response.
• The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes (1 hour).
