Educational Qualification & Age Limit

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed by TNPSC before submitting the online application.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification differs from one post to another. Candidates must possess the required qualification on or before 7 July 2026, the date of notification.

Candidates should have a Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline or an ITI/National Trade Certificate (NTC)/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade, depending on the post.
For many diploma-level posts, a Degree in the same discipline is considered a higher equivalent qualification.
Some posts may require higher qualifications such as B.F.Sc. or other specialized degrees as specified in the notification.
Candidates applying for the Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade-II post must possess a valid Driving Licence.
All educational certificates must be uploaded during the online application process.

Knowledge of Tamil

Candidates must have adequate knowledge of the Tamil language. This requirement can be fulfilled by:

Studying Tamil as one of the subjects in SSLC, HSC, or Degree, or
Passing the Second Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by TNPSC.
