As per the official calendar released by SSC in January 2026, the SSC CGL, JE, and Selection Post Notifications were scheduled to be released together on 31st March 2026. But all of them got delayed, however, after few days, SSC released the SSC Selection Post Phase 14 Notification 2026, followed by SSC Stenographer 2026 and SSC JHT 2026.
So, we can say, SSC has not only delayed the CGL Exam, but other Exams have been impacted as well. However, there is no need to worry because it is expected that SSC CGL Notification 2026 can be released in May 2026 followed by Tier 1 exam in August-September 2026.

What should SSC CGL Aspirants Do Now?
The SSC CGL 2026 notification is expected in May 2026. Don’t wait for it and use this time wisely.
- First, complete OTR by registering on ssc.gov.in through One Time Registration (OTR). This will save time during the application process.
- Check your age, graduation degree, and category certificate validity before the form opens. An expired OBC/EWS certificate can disqualify you.
- Keep Documents Ready: Passport-size photo and scanned signature, Class 10 and graduation marksheets, Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), Aadhaar card, etc.
- Take Mock Tests Regularly. Solve at least 2 full-length timed mocks per week.
