No Waiting List Policy by SSC:

According to the current rules of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), there is no system of keeping a waiting or reserve list for exams that have multiple stages.

Problem of Vacant Posts:

Even after the final results and document verification, many posts remain empty. This happens for several reasons—some candidates don’t appear, some have issues with their documents, and some do not join the job.

New Plan – Post Allotment Sliding:

To solve this issue, SSC is thinking about introducing a “post allotment sliding” system. In this process, the remaining vacant posts will be given to eligible candidates by extending the cut-off marks slightly. This will be done only once.

Needs Government Approval:

This new idea will be applied only if the Government of India approves it.
