The SSC MTS Exam 2026 has begun from 4th February 2026 and will continue 05, 06, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, & 19th February 2026 in multiple shifts across the country. This examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for Group C Non-Technical posts in various ministries and departments of the Government of India. SSC MTS 2026 Good Attempts & Difficulty Level
Aspirants can check the good attempts and the level of questions asked in today’s exam, which is given in the table below. By checking the number of good attempts and difficulty level, aspirants can get an idea about which part needs focused practice and they can plan their preparation in an more effective way. Many students were able to attempt around 74-79 questions in total, which is being seen as a good attempt for this shift.

General English
The English section was very easy for most candidates, and many students were able to attempt almost all questions. A large number of questions were asked from narration and active-passive voice. Only 2-3 questions came from antonyms and synonyms, which was less compared to earlier exams.
General Awareness
In GK, current affairs had more weightage. Questions were asked from major events of 2024 and 2025, along with topics like folk dances, sports events such as Olympics and Youth Games, and latest appointments in different sectors.
Numerical & Mathematical Ability
Maths was considered tough by many students. The questions were calculation based and a bit lengthy, which made this section time consuming. Candidates felt that this was the most challenging part of the paper.
Reasoning Ability & Problem Solving
Reasoning was also very easy and scoring. The questions were direct and did not involve much complexity. Because of this, most candidates attempted nearly all questions in this section with good accuracy.
SSC MTS Exam 2026 Shift Timings
The SSC MTS exam is being conducted in four shifts daily, and each shift is of 90 minutes duration. Candidates must reach the exam center before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute problem.
