The SSC has announced the revised SSC GD Exam Date 2026 following an earlier postponement. The Computer-Based Test for Constable (GD) in CAPFs and SSF, along with Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, is scheduled from 27 April to 30 May 2026 at various centres across India. The Commission has also introduced a ‘Week Preference’ facility, enabling candidates to select their preferred exam window.

The SSC released an official notice providing the CBT schedule along with details of the week preference facility. The exam is scheduled to start on 27 April 2026 and will continue until 30 May 2026. When will SSC release the City Intimation and Admit Card 2026?

The Staff Selection Commission has released the City Intimation Slip, and the Admit Card will be available soon on its official website a few days before the exam. Once available, candidates can access and download them by logging in with their registration number and password.

SSC GD Selection Process 2026

The SSC GD selection process is carried out in several phases for recruitment into CAPFs, SSF, and Assam Rifles. Candidates are required to clear each stage to progress further in the process.

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

It is an objective-type online exam covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Measurement of height, chest (for males), and weight as per prescribed standards.

4. Medical Examination (DME/RME)

Detailed medical check-up to ensure candidates meet the required health standards.
