SSC GD Official Exam Date 2026 Out at ssc.gov.in, Check Post Wise Schedule

SSC has officially announced the New Exam Dates for SSC GD 2026, which were postponed earlier. The Computer-Based Test Constable (GD) in CAPFs and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Exam, 2026 will be conducted from 27th April 2026 to 30th May 2026 at various centres across the country. Along with the exam dates, the Commission has also introduced the new ‘Week Preference’ facility for candidates to select their preferred exam window.

On 11th April 2026, SSC released an official notice consisting of the CBT Exam schedule and week preference details. The CBT starts from 27th April 2026 and it shall continue till 30th May 2026. The exam is expected to be held in 4 shifts each day. Check the week numbers and exam dates below.

SSC Introduced GD Exam Week Preference Window

Instead of slot selection, SSC has provided a week preference window through which candidates can submit their preference as per their convenience.

• Candidates must log in to their SSC accounts.
• Preference submission is mandatory for all registered candidates.
• They need to rank all four exam windows in order of preference.
• SSC will try to allot the exam date based on these preferences.
• Regularly visit the official SSC website for further updates regarding city intimation and admit card.

SSC GD Admit Card 2026

The Staff Selection Commission will release the Hall Ticket on its official website 2-3 days before the exam. The admit card will contain key details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, shift timing, reporting time, exam centre, and important instructions. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

The SSC GD Constable 2026 selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE): Online objective-type test.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running test for male and female candidates.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST): Height and chest measurement as per eligibility criteria.
4. Medical Examination (DME/RME): Medical fitness test conducted by designated medical authorities.
