SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification

For LDC/ JSA and DEO/ DEO Grade ‘A’: Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Nationality
A candidate must be either of the following:
- A citizen of India, or

SSC CHSL Selection Process
Staff Selection Commission has earlier changed the SSC CHSL selection process from 3 stages to 2 stages only. The candidates applying for the recruitment process must go through the changes in the new selection process, as well as the latest exam pattern as mentioned in the notification. The SSC CHSL 2025 Selection process will be based on CBT. The computer-based examination will be conducted in two tiers given below:

SSC CHSL 2025 Salary
The SSC CHSL posts come under either Pay Level 2, Pay Level 4, or Pay Level 5. The LDC and JSA posts are of Pay Level 2, and the associated Pay Scale is Rs. 19,900 to 63,200. The highest Pay Scale offered in SSC CHSL is Rs. 29,200-92,300 for DEOs recruited under Pay Level 5. Along with the salary, candidates are entitled to many allowances and benefits. However, in the 2025 recruitment drive, there might be a hike in the salary for the CHSL posts by the 7th CPC.
