Delhi Police Physical Test Selection Process 2026

Candidates must first qualify the Physical Endurance Test. Only those who clear the race will be permitted to participate in the Long Jump and High Jump events. Candidates qualifying all PET events will then undergo the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The shortlisted candidates will undergo the following stages before final selection:

Delhi Police Physical Endurance Test (PET) Process

The Physical Endurance Test is qualifying in nature and consists of three events held in the following sequence: 

  1. Race
  2. Long Jump
  3. High Jump

Important points regarding PET:

  • The race will be conducted first.
  • Only candidates qualifying the race can participate in the Long Jump and High Jump.
  • Candidates will get three attempts each for Long Jump and High Jump.
  • No appeal against disqualification in any PET event will be entertained.
  • PMT will be conducted only after qualifying the PET.

Driving Licence Requirements for Delhi Police Posts

The official notice prescribes different driving licence requirements for Constable (Executive) and Constable (Driver) posts. Candidates not possessing the required licence on the specified date will not be considered eligible for the respective post.

Female Candidates Guidelines for Delhi Police Physical Test 2026

The official notice contains special provisions for female candidates who are pregnant, have recently delivered a child, or have suffered a miscarriage at the time of the Physical Endurance Test (PET). Such candidates:

  • May not be allowed to participate in the Physical Endurance Test (PET).
  • Will be declared temporarily unfit until the prescribed confinement period is over, as mentioned in the recruitment notification.
  • Must submit an application along with supporting medical documents at the scheduled PE&MT venue on the allotted date.
