The Staff Selection Commission has announced a significant update for thousands of aspirants of the Selection Post Phase-XIII recruitment. Following the initial Computer-Based Examination held in July–August 2025, reports of technical glitches and disruptions prompted the commission to take corrective measures. In the interest of fairness, a re-examination will now be conducted for affected candidates on a fresh date shared in the article. Check the page for full information on this.
What’s Happening?
The SSC will re-conduct the Phase-XIII Selection Post Computer-Based Examination (CBE) for approximately 55,000 candidates. Only those whose exams were impacted by issues such as server crashes, biometric mismatches, or abrupt test centre changes will need to reappear. The decision ensures no candidate is disadvantaged due to factors beyond their control.
Why This Is Happening?
The re-exam decision stems from reported irregularities during the original exam period, including technical breakdowns, delayed logins, and last-minute centre changes. While such glitches were limited to specific sessions and locations, SSC is prioritising exam integrity and equal opportunity by offering a fresh attempt. This move also aims to maintain aspirants’ trust in the recruitment process and align with the commission’s policy of transparency. Check the important dates here.
