As per the official notice released by the Ministry of Railways on 2nd March 2026, the application closing date for CEN 09/2025 has been revised to 9th March 2026. The Railway Recruitment Boards had originally published CEN No. 09/2025 on 31st January 2026 for recruitment to various posts in Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. After releasing three corrigenda earlier, the board has now issued the extension notice which revises the key application dates once again. Candidates who could not apply before 2nd March 2026 now have a fresh chance to submit their forms.

How to Fill the Form – Step by Step

Follow these simple steps to complete your application:

1. Go to rrbapply.gov.in and choose your railway zone.
2. Click on “New Registration” and fill in your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, and Aadhaar number.
3. You will get a Registration ID on your phone and email. Verify it using the OTP. You cannot change your mobile number or email after this step.
4. Click on “Apply/Edit” and carefully fill in all your details.
5. A list of jobs you are eligible for will appear. Choose the ones you want and set your preference order.
6. Go to the Payment section and pay the application fee.
7. Upload your photo and signature in the correct size and format.
8. Click “Final Submit” after checking everything.
9. Save or print the final form for your records.

Who Can Apply?

Education: You must have passed Class 10th from any recognized school board, or have an ITI certificate, or a NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) from NCVT.

Age Limit: You must be between 18 to 33 years old. Some categories get extra age relaxation:

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 extra years
• SC / ST: 5 extra years
• Physically Disabled (PwBD): 10 extra years
• Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules

Can I Correct My Form After Submission?

Candidates who have already submitted their forms and wish to make corrections can do so during the revised modification window, which will now be open from 12th March to 21st March 2026. A modification fee of ₹100 is applicable, and corrections can be made a maximum of two times.

RRB Group D Selection Process 2026

Candidates will be selected through the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) — Online exam covering Maths, Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Physical fitness assessment for CBT qualifiers.
3. Document Verification (DV) — Verification of original certificates and documents.
4. Medical Examination — Health check before final appointment.
