Railway RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 Postponed? Know the Revised Exam Timeline

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the revised RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 soon. The exam was earlier planned between 17 November and 31 December 2025. Still, the final schedule will be announced only after the ongoing RRB Group D Court Case 2025 is settled by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).

The city intimation slips and admit cards, which are usually issued 10 days and 4 days before the exam, respectively, have also been put on hold. Until the official update is released, candidates are advised to follow only the official RRB websites for accurate information and avoid misinformation circulating on social media.

RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 Postponed?

The RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 has announced 32,438 vacancies for various posts, including Track Maintainer, Helper, and Assistant. The RRB Group D 2025 Computer-Based Exam 2025 was earlier scheduled to take place from 17 November 2025 onwards, but the matter is now under consideration and final verdicts is still awaited.

Since there has been no official update on the exam date or city intimation, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) exam may likely be postponed until further notice.

Over 10.82 million candidates have applied for the RRB Group D 2025 Exam, which will be held in three shifts per day across more than 200 cities in India. The selection process will take place in four stages: starting with the Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

The RRB Group D Admit Card 2025 will be released on the respective regional RRB websites approximately four days before the exam. RRB Railway Group D Exam Shift Timing

According to the RRB Group D New Exam Date 2025, the examination will be held in multiple shifts each day due to the large number of applicants and the wide network of exam centres across India. The shift timings and exam details will be mentioned in the city intimation slips, which are expected to be released around 10 days before the each exam date.

Candidates are advised to reach their exam centres well before the reporting time and carry all the required documents as mentioned in the admit card and official guidelines. Below are a few key details to note.

RRB Railway Group D Selection Process

The selection for RRB Group D 2025 is as follows:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): First phase, testing general aptitude, science, reasoning, and awareness.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying nature, tasks may include running, lifting, etc., per official norms.
3. Document Verification: Checking eligibility, certificates, and identity.
4. Medical Examination: Ensures candidates meet required physical standards

RRB Group D Exam Pattern

The RRB Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes, while PwBD candidates using a scribe will be given 120 minutes to complete the test. There will be a negative marking of one-third (⅓) marks for every incorrect answer.

• Candidates will be able to download their E-Call Letters approximately 4 days before the exam through the Exam City & Date Intimation link.
• Aadhaar-based biometric verification is mandatory at the exam centre. Candidates must bring their original Aadhaar card or an e-verified printout. To prevent delays, Aadhaar should be verified and unlocked in advance on www.rrbapply.gov.in.
• The exam city, date, and travel authority link for SC/ST candidates will be activated about 10 days before the exam.
• Even if Aadhaar verification was completed during the application process, candidates must ensure that their Aadhaar remains unlocked in the UIDAI system before the examination.
