The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had earlier planned to release the official RRB Group D  2026 on 20th January 2026, which is today. But due to some undisclosed reasons, RRB has revised the notification release date and online application dates for Group D Level 1 recruitment CEN 09/2025. Interested candidates who are planning to apply should check the updated schedule as notified by RRB.

According to the official schedule released by RRB, the online application dates have been changed as follows:

• The RRB Group D Apply Online 2026 starts on 31st January 2026 (Earlier: 21st January 2026.
• The last date to apply online or submit the application form is 2nd March 2026 (Earlier: 20th February 2026.

The Railway Recruitment Board has revised the application dates for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 under CEN 09/2025. As per the latest official update, the RRB Group D application form will now open on 31 January 2026, and the last date to apply is 2nd March 2026. Candidates planning to apply must keep their documents ready and make sure they provide a working phone number and email ID.

Steps to Apply for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026

The Railway Recruitment Board invites online applications for 22000+ vacancies for Group D level 1 posts. Interested candidates can apply by following the steps given here.

1. Go to the regional official website of the Railway Recruitment Board from which you are applying.
2. Now, look out for the link to apply for advertisement no. CEN 09/2025.
3. Click on ‘New Registration’ and fill in basic details.
4. After successful registration, proceed to fill out the application form.
5. Upload documents in the specified dimensions and fill out the required columns.
6. Now, pay the application fee through the gateway available. After successful payment, take a screenshot of the receipt.
7. After all the steps, review your application form, submit it and take a printout of it.

Documents Required to Apply Online for RRB Group D 2025

The documents to be uploaded during the application form fill-up are a passport-size photograph, signature, and category certificate. The prescribed size and format of these files are mentioned below.

Stages of RRB Group D Selection Process

The RRB Group D recruitment process includes the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination

RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2026

The Computer-Based Test is the first and most important stage of the selection process. It is an objective-type test with multiple-choice questions. The exam duration is 90 minutes and the questions are asked from 4 different subjects as shown in the table here.

Note:-

• There is a negative marking of 1/3rd for an incorrect answer marked by the candidate.
• Those who qualify in CBT, will get to appear for the Physical Test.
• Candidates who clear the PET will be called for Document Verification followed by a Medical Examination.
