PIB Notice: 1,43,086 Vacancies Ke Liye Railways Recruitment Update

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has released an important update on the Railway Recruitment process, confirming that examinations for 1,43,086 non-gazetted vacancies have been conducted under the Annual Recruitment Calendar 2024 and 2025. As per the official notice, Indian Railway has successfully completed multiple stages of Computer Based Tests (CBTs), aptitude tests, skill tests, and physical efficiency tests for various posts across zones. This update highlights the scale, progress, and transparency of the Railway recruitment system.

Railway Recruitment Drive for 1.43 Lakh+ Posts: Key Highlights

According to PIB, recruitment action has been initiated and examination stages have been completed for a wide range of posts including Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), Technician, Junior Engineer (JE), NTPC (Graduate & Under Graduate), RPF Constable & SI, Paramedical, Ministerial & Isolated, and Level-1 categories.

More than 2.5 crore candidates appeared in the first-stage CBTs alone, making this one of the largest recruitment exercises conducted by Indian Railways in recent years.

Level-1 CBT and RPF PET Examination Update

  • CBT for 32,438 Level-1 vacancies commenced from 27 November 2025 across 140 cities in 15 languages.
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for 4,208 RPF Constable posts was completed on 06 December 2025.
  • Panels for more than 31,000 candidates across posts such as ALP, Technician, JE, Paramedical, and RPF have already been finalised. Most of these appointments fall under safety categories.
