UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Eligibility Criteria 2026, Check PET, Age Limit and Educational Qualification

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has prescribed the UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Eligibility Criteria 2026 for candidates appearing in the Veterinary Pharmacist Main Examination-2025/18. Candidates must fulfill the required PET-2025 score condition, educational qualification, age limit, professional registration, and other eligibility requirements before applying for the 1,308 Veterinary Pharmacist posts.

UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must first satisfy the basic eligibility conditions prescribed by UPSSSC and the Uttar Pradesh Pashupalan Vibhag Veterinary Pharmacist Seva Niyamawali, 2025. The most important prerequisite is appearing in PET-2025 and possessing a valid score card. The key details of the eligibility criteria are summarized below.

UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist PET Requirement

The UPSSSC PET-2025 score is a mandatory eligibility condition for candidates seeking to appear in the Veterinary Pharmacist Main Examination. Candidates must have participated in PET-2025 and been issued a valid score card.

Candidates should carefully check their PET result status before applying, as certain PET scores can make a candidate ineligible for the main examination.

UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the prescribed educational and professional qualifications by the last date of application. The qualification includes Intermediate-level education with the required science subject and a recognized Veterinary Pharmacy diploma. The essential qualifications prescribed for the post are given below.

A. Essential Educational Qualifications

• Intermediate (10+2): Must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh with Science (Biology or Agriculture), or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government.
• Professional Diploma: Must hold a Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy of 02 Years and 03 Months duration from an institution/university established by law in India or recognized by the Government.
• Council Registration: Registration with the Veterinary Council/Authority as prescribed (or as outlined in the official animal husbandry departmental service rules).

B. Preferential Qualifications (In case of equal marks)

• Minimum of 2 years of service in the Territorial Army.
• National Cadet Corps (NCC) ‘B’ Certificate.

UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Age Limit 2026

The age of candidates will be calculated as on 01 July 2026. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and must not ordinarily exceed the prescribed maximum age of 40 years, subject to applicable relaxation rules. The category-wise basic age limit is given below.

UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Age Relaxation 2026

Candidates belonging to eligible reserved and special categories can claim upper-age relaxation according to the applicable Uttar Pradesh Government rules and orders. The relaxation must be supported by valid documents wherever required.

Other Important Criteria & Disqualifications

• Marital Status: Male candidates who have more than one living wife, or female candidates who have married a person already having a living wife, are generally ineligible unless an exemption is granted by the Government.
• Reservation & Domicile: Reservation and age relaxation benefits are strictly restricted to bonafide residents of Uttar Pradesh. Category certificates (such as EWS, SC, ST, OBC) must comply with the formats and validity timelines specified in the notification rules.
