Mizoram PSC Nursing Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026, Check Age Limit And Educational Qualification

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has released the official notification for Nursing Officer and Staff Nurse posts under the Health & Family Welfare Department and Home (Prisons) Department. A total of 42 vacancies have been announced through Advertisement No. 12 of 2026-2027. Mizoram PSC Nursing Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates applying for the Nursing Officer and Staff Nurse posts must fulfill all the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Mizoram Public Service Commission. The eligibility requirements are based on educational qualification, age criteria, language proficiency, and other important conditions. Educational Qualification

Age Limit

The Mizoram Public Service Commission has prescribed a minimum and maximum age limit for candidates applying for the Nursing Officer and Staff Nurse posts. Candidates must satisfy the age criteria as on 1st January 2026. Applicants must also provide valid proof of age while submitting the application form.

The commission accepts HSLC/HSSLC certificates as valid proof of age if the date of birth is clearly mentioned. In case the date of birth is not available on these certificates, candidates may submit relevant documents issued by a competent authority.

Age Relaxation

The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates as per the rules notified by the Government of Mizoram. Candidates belonging to eligible categories can avail of the relaxation benefits during the recruitment process. The category-wise age relaxation details are mentioned below.

Computer Proficiency

Along with educational qualification and age limit, candidates are also required to possess computer proficiency as prescribed by the Mizoram Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023. Important points regarding computer proficiency are given below:

• Computer proficiency is mandatory for all candidates.
• Candidates must possess the prescribed computer proficiency certificate.
• The certificate should be uploaded during the online application process.
• Applications without valid computer proficiency proof may be rejected by the commission.

Mizo Language Proficiency

Candidates applying for the Mizoram PSC Nursing Officer and Staff Nurse posts must also satisfy the Mizo language proficiency requirement prescribed by the commission. The important points regarding Mizo language proficiency are given below:

• Candidates must qualify the Mizo Language Proficiency Test.
• Candidates who studied Mizo as a subject in Class X (HSLC) or above within Mizoram are exempted from the test.
• Candidates who opted for Mizo as a Modern Indian Language (MIL) outside Mizoram are also eligible for exemption.
