Candidates must fulfil the educational qualification and age requirements prescribed in the notification. Eligibility conditions, except the age limit, will be determined as of 11 November 2026.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for either post must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. No essential work experience is specified for either post.

The prescribed age limit for both posts is 18 to 27 years, calculated as of 1 June 2026.

Candidates must have been born between 2 June 1999 and 1 June 2008, inclusive, subject to applicable age relaxations.

DSSSB Sweeper & Chowkidar Selection Process 2026

The selection process for both posts consists of an objective examination and an interview.

Objective/MCQ Examination: The test carries 100 marks and includes English, Hindi, General Knowledge (including Current Affairs), and Arithmetic.
Interview: The interview carries 15 marks. Candidates shortlisted through the examination will be called for the interview.
Final Merit List: The final selection will be based on marks obtained in the objective examination and interview.
