What are the Selection Stages?

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has outlined a multi-stage selection process for recruiting Assistant Section Officer (ASO) / Grade-II under Advertisement No. 01/2026. The stages are as follows:

DSSSB ASO Exam Pattern 2026

The exam pattern for DSSSB Dass Grade 2 posts includes a computer-based written exam for ASO, Legal Assistant and other posts conducted by DSSSB. The exam will have objective-type multiple-choice questions from subjects like General Awareness, Reasoning, and English Language, along with subject-specific topics (Law subjects for Legal Assistant posts).

Legal Assistant (Post Code 801/26) – Exam Pattern

There are two stages, Tier 1 and Tier 2, and these are:

Tier-I Examination (Qualifying in Nature)

Important Notes for Tier-I:

• Tier I is qualifying in nature: It is used only to shortlist candidates for Tier II.
• Minimum qualifying marks: Applicable only in Section B (Law subject).
• No minimum marks in Section A: There is no qualifying requirement for Section A.
• Shortlisting criteria: Combined marks of Section A and Section B in Tier I will be considered for selection to Tier II

Tier-II Examination (Final Merit)

• Final Merit will be prepared based on Tier-II marks only.
