Intelligence Bureau, under M/o Home Affairs, has conducted the IB ACIO Tier 1 Exam 2025 for 3717 vacancies. The IB ACIO Result 2025 for ACIO Grade II/Executive has been released today on 21st November 2025 and it comprises of qualifying status of all candidates who appeared for the Tier 1 exam. Those who qualify in this test, will be eligible to appear for the next stage of recruitment.
IB ACIO Result 2025 Out
The IB ACIO Tier 1 Result 2025 has been released online at MHA’s official portal (www.mha.gov.in). The result contains the qualifying status and obtained marks based on candidates’ performance in the Tier 1 held on 16, 17, and 18 September 2025. Those who qualify in Tier 1, will move to next stage. The Tier 2 exam is expected to be held in December 2025.
The selection process includes Tier 1 (Objective Test), Tier 2 (Descriptive Test), and an Interview. Based on Tier-1 performance and normalised marks, candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-2 at 10 times the number of vacancies, but only if they score the minimum cut-off marks.

IB ACIO Scorecard 2025
The IB ACIO Tier 1 Marks has not been released with the result, but it is expected that it will be out soon along with cut off marks. The scorecard displays the sectional as overall marks obtained by the candidate in the exam. It will be available online at mha.gov.in and candidates will be able to download it by logging in with their registration ID and Password. We will share the direct link here after it gets released.
IB ACIO Tier 1 Minimum Passing Marks
IB has already fixed minimum qualifying marks for the Tier-1 exam and it is mentioned in the exam notification. Out of 100 marks, different category candidates must score the minimum marks as follows:
- General/UR: 35 Marks
- OBC: 34 Marks
- SC/ST: 33 Marks
- EWS: 35 Marks
- Ex-servicemen will be evaluated under the same category they belong to, such as UR, OBC, SC, ST, or EWS.
How to Calculate IB ACIO Tier 1 Marks?
To calculate your marks in the IB ACIO Tier-1 exam, follow the marking scheme:
Final Marks = (Correct Answers × 1) – (Wrong Answers × 0.25)
- +1 mark for every correct answer
- –0.25 mark for every incorrect answer
- 0 marks for unattempted questions
- “Mark for Review” questions are not counted in scoring
IB ACIO Selection Process 2025
The IB ACIO Recruitment 2025 process is carried out in multiple stages to shortlist deserving candidates for the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II/Executive. The selection process includes:
