Bihar Jail Warder Eligibility Criteria 2025
The CSBC has announced the eligibility criteria for the Jail Warder posts on the official wesbite. Candidates interested in applying can now check the official notification shared above. The eligibility criteria includes educational qualification, age limit and physical standards.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates who have completed their 12th standard or equivalent are eligible to apply for Bihar Jail Warder posts. Maulvi Certificate issued by Madrasa Board of State Government of Bihar or Shastri (with English) or Acharya (without English) Certificate issued by Sanskrit Board of State of Bihar or equivalent educational qualification recognized by the State Government.
(b) Educational qualification for the post of ‘Kakshapal’ is Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from any Board/Council recognized by the State Government or Central Government.
Age Limit
The minimum age limit is 18 years for all the categories, and check the maximum age limit shared below.

Bihar Police Jail Warder Selection Process 2025
The selection Process of the Bihar Jail Warder includes three stages i.e,
- Written Exam
- Physical Test
- Certificate Verification.
Candidates who clear the Bihar Police Jail Warder Written exam will be called for the Physical Test and the final selection will be based on the overall performance of the candidate.

Note: Candidates who do not meet the minimum standards in any event are disqualified. Only PET marks are considered for qualifying; there are no deductions for non-participation, but there is no final selection for those failing the required levels.
Bihar Jail Warder Salary 2025
The candidates who clear all the stages will be provisionally shortlisted for the Jail Warder Post. The salary ranges from Rs.21,700 to Rs.69,100 and the pay level is 3. Employees will get additional benefits and allowances like, HRA, TA, DA, Risk Allowance, Uniform Allowance etc in addition to the basic pay.
