Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out (3500 Posts), Apply Online, Stipend

Canara Bank has released the official notification for the engagement of 3500 Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27. Online registration will start from 1 October 2026 to 17 October 2026. There is no written exam and selection is based on your 12th/Diploma percentage.

This is an apprenticeship, not a permanent bank job. Selected candidates get 12 months of on-the-job training and a monthly stipend. Check state-wise vacancies, eligibility, selection process, and salary below.

Canara Bank Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment must meet the eligibility criteria set by the bank. It is recommended that candidates carefully review the official notification linked in this article to understand all the detailed eligibility requirements.

Age Limit (As on 1/9/2026)

Candidates should be at least 20 years old and a Maximum of 28 Years old. Check out the official notification for age relaxation details. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved candidates.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should have a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification.

Other Conditions

  • You must be an Indian citizen.
  • You should not have done apprenticeship training earlier, with Canara Bank or any other organisation, or be doing it now.
  • Candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after completing their qualification are not eligible.
  • Ex-servicemen are not engaged as apprentices, and there is no reservation for them.
  • OBC candidates must have a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate. Creamy layer candidates should apply as General.

Canara Bank Apprentice 2026 Selection Process

  1. Merit list: Prepared state-wise, based on your 12th (HSC/10+2) or Diploma percentage. If two candidates have the same percentage, the older candidate is ranked higher.
  2. Minimum marks: 60% in 12th/Diploma (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). A score of 59.99% is treated as below 60%.
  3. Document verification and local language test: Held together. You are exempt from the language test if your 10th or 12th marksheet shows you studied the chosen local language.
  4. Medical fitness: Selected candidates must be declared medically fit.

How to Apply?

  1. Register on NATS. Go to nats.education.gov.in, register, and complete your profile to 100%. Note your enrollment ID.
  2. Open the Canara Bank application. Go to canarabank.bank.in → Careers → Recruitment → Engagement of Graduate Apprentices in Canara Bank under Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.
  3. Register as a new user. Click “Click here for new registration”, fill in your details and enter your NATS enrollment ID. Save the provisional registration number and password.
  4. Upload documents (Mentioned below).
  5. Pay the fee if applicable, then click Final Submit. Changes are not allowed after this.
  6. Download and keep a printout of the application and the e-receipt.

Period of Apprenticeship Training

The apprenticeship period at Canara Bank is fixed for 12 months (1 year) under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961. During this time, selected candidates will undergo on-the-job training in different banking operations, customer service, clerical tasks, and basic financial services. After completing the apprenticeship successfully, candidates will be awarded a certificate of apprenticeship, which adds value to their career profile in the banking and finance sector.
