The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has officially published the ICAR AIEEA (PG/PhD) Counselling Brochure 2025 for admissions to postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Agriculture and Allied Sciences. Candidates who have qualified the ICAR AIEEA 2025 examination conducted by NTA on 3 July 2025 can now access the complete brochure and check details about the online counselling process.

This year’s admission process covers 81 sub-disciplines across 74 Agricultural Universities (AUs) under the ICAR-AU system, out of the total seats, 30% in state agricultural universities are reserved under ICAR quota, while 100% of seats in ICAR’s own institutions such as IARI, NDRI, IVRI, CIFE, RLBCAU Jhansi and Dr. RPCAU Pusa will be filled through this counselling.) What’s New In ICAR AIEEA 2025 Counselling?

One of the major highlights of ICAR AIEEA 2025 counselling is the fully online process, including document verification and centralized payment of Seat Acceptance Fee, making it convenient for aspirants as they are not required to visit the universities physically during counselling rounds. There will be four rounds of counselling, followed by a mop-up round if required.

Choice Filling And Fees Payment

The procedure begins with registration, where candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹500. After registering, candidates will be able to fill in their choices of universities and subjects in order of preference. Seat allotment will be done based on the candidate’s rank and the availability of seats. Once allotted, candidates must upload the required documents, which will be verified by the admitting university online. After successful verification, candidates are required to pay a Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹10,000 to secure their provisional admission. A provisional admission letter will then be issued. Candidates who are not satisfied with the seat allotted in the first three rounds can opt for upgradation. Four rounds of counselling will be held in total, followed by a mop-up round if required.

Along with counselling rules, the document also includes information on ICAR PG scholarships, eligibility for in-service candidates, and the policy for filling vacant seats after counselling.
