HPSC Food Safety Officer Training Requirement

Candidates must successfully complete the training specified by the Food Authority at a recognised institute or institution approved for this purpose. The prescribed training will be provided after appointment. Candidates who successfully complete the training will subsequently be notified as Food Safety Officers.

HPSC Food Safety Officer Language Requirement

Candidates must have Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation (10th standard) or Hindi as one of the subjects in higher education.

HPSC Food Safety Officer Age Limit 2026

The age of candidates will be calculated as on the closing date of the advertisement, i.e. 19 October 2026.

Age relaxation

Age relaxation will be provided to eligible candidates as per the applicable Haryana Government instructions.

A person having a financial interest in the manufacture, import or sale of any article of food cannot be appointed as a Food Safety Officer under the applicable Food Safety and Standards Rules.

The HPSC Food Safety Officer post carries Functional Pay Level-6, with a starting basic pay of ₹35,400. The applicable pay scale is ₹9,300–34,800 with Grade Pay of ₹4,200, along with other allowances and benefits as per Haryana Government rules.
