RRB Junior Engineer Selection Process 2025
The RRB JE Selection Process 2025 is directed by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). It is profoundly critical as well as important that the applicants should know about each phase of the RRB JE Selection Process 2025. The RRB JE Recruitment 2025 is done through the three phases given below:
Phase 1: Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT 1)
Phase 2: Computer-Based Test 2 (CBT 2)
Phase 3: Document Verification and Medical Examination
An aspirant will be expected to qualify for each phase of the RRB JE to be qualified for the next phase. The RRB JE Selection Processes for the CBT 1 and CBT 2 Exam will not be the same as one another. RRB JE Selection Process: CBT 1
The RRB JE CBT 1 is the screening round, and its marks won’t be included in the preparation of the merit list. The RRB JE 2025 CBT 1 is consists of four subjects from which the questions will be asked, such as Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science.
The questions that are going to be asked in the RRB JE 2025 CBT 1 will be of an objective type questions. The total duration of the examination is 90 minutes for general candidates, whereas PwD candidates are provided with an extended time of 120 minutes to complete the test. There will be an aggregate of 100 questions of 1 mark each. For each right response, 1 mark will be granted, while for each inaccurate response, 0.25 marks will be deducted. RRB JE Selection Process : CBT 2
Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the board in the RRB JE 2025 CBT 1 will be eligible to appear for the CBT 2 examination. The RRB JE CBT 2 paper will have 5 subjects, such as, General Awareness, Physics, and Chemistry, Basics of Computer Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, and Technical Abilities.
There will be an aggregate of 150 questions in RRB JE CBT 2 for 2 Hours. A negative marking of 0.33 will be given after each mistaken response set apart by you in the RRB JE Exam in the RRB JE 2025 CBT 2 paper. Candidates can check the exam pattern and process as given below:

RRB JE Document Verification
The Document Verification stage in the RRB JE Selection Process is an important step where candidates need to show certain key documents for careful checking. These documents include the Birth Certificate, High School/Matriculation Certificate, Degree or Diploma Certificate, Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, Medical Certificate, Minority Declaration on Non-judicial Stamp Paper, and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for current or former employees.

RRB JE Medical Standards
The RRB JE Document Verification process will be followed by a Medical Test round. During the medical examination, candidates will be assessed to determine whether they are medically fit to perform the duties required for the RRB JE post. The candidate’s vision and overall health will be examined. Applicants who successfully clear all these stages will be appointed as Junior Engineers under RRB. RRB JE Final Merit List
The final merit list of candidates selected for appointment will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the RRB JE CBT 2 examination. Therefore, it is important to score well in CBT 2 to secure your place in the final merit list.
After the successful completion of all stages of the RRB JE selection process — including CBT 1, CBT 2, Document Verification (DV), and the Medical Test — the final merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in CBT 2 of the RRB JE 2025 Exam.
